National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which conducts test for aspiring dental and medical students, is expected to come out with its online application process in January 2018.
NEET 2018 application form is expected to be issued in January 2018. Eligible students can apply online at cbseneet.nic.in.
MCI, DCI approved Medical institution have to consider NEET 2018 for providing admission in
MBBS/BDS courses. Exam will be single stage objective type. A candidate has to submit online application form to appear in exam, and participate in counselling with a valid NEET 2018 result score.
As far as the tentative dates of
NEET 2018 entrance exam are concerned, application form may be released in December 2017, while the last date to submit the application fee will be last week of January 2018. Admit card can be downloaded from 1st week of April 2018, and
the examination will be held in 1st week of May 2018. The result will be declared in 1st week of June 2018
To appear in the exam, a candidate should have 12th or equivalent exam passed or appearing. The candidate must have Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject during his/her 12th.
In the qualifying exam, students should have obtained at least 50% marks for general, 45% marks for general-PH and 40% marks for SC/ST & OBC.
A total of 180 questions will be asked in the exam. Exam will be conducted through offline mode. There will be objective type questions (four options with one correct answer). The exam duration will be 3 hours. Question paper will be asked in 8 languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu languages.
As far as the marking pattern is concerned, four marks will be given for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
