National Testing Agency, NTA has successfully conducted the JEE Main 2019 April examination as well. As many as 9.45 lakh students had registered for the April examination. Overall in January and April combines, about 12 lakh students have appeared for the JEE Main 2019. Out of these, only about 2.45 lakh would be shortlisted for the JEE Advanced 2019. Check out the expected cut off for each category here.
Before we share the cut off, students need to understand how the candidates would be selected. Remember, for JEE Advanced 2019, the top 2, 45,000 candidates (based on their JEE Main 2019 Rank) would be picked. This would be further divided on the basis of the category.
Expected maximum and minimum marks that would in turn constitute for those ranks are tabulated below.
The expected cut off shared is based on the estimates provided by experts. These include the feedback received from students regarding the April examination, January percentile or NTA scores. Marks provided above relate to the raw scores of candidates who scored the relevant percentile.
JEE Main 2019 April examination answer keys are already released on the official website jeemain.nic.in. NTA is scheduled to release the JEE Main 2019 April result and JEE Main 2019 rank latest by April 30, 2019. However, based on the timeline followed by NTA for JEE Main 2019 January examination, it is expected that the JEE Main 2019 Result for Paper 1 and ranks would be released in the last week of April.
