Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2021 May session is scheduled to be conducted from May 24 to May 27. With the April session already postponed, students are now waiting for update on the May session. National Testing Agency, NTA has not announced any plans to conduct or postpone the examination as yet.
Last update was released on April 18, 2021, stating that the April session has been postponed due to COVID19. There was no mention regarding the May examinations. It is likely that the NTA would reopen the registration for the May examination. Many feel that with the present situation, JEE Main 2021 May session could also be postponed.
Over 20 lakh students had registered for the JEE Main 2021 Examination. So far, about 12 lakh students have appeared for the JEE Main examination. With many second attempts, there are still lakhs of students who have not yet appeared for the JEE Main 2021 examination.
Meanwhile, with the cases continuously rising in the country, students are expecting the exams to be postponed. “I am almost sure it would be postponed but I would like to know for sure. I had applied for April session but have not filled the form for May as yet. An official notice would surely help,” shared Nikhil, a JEE Main aspirant.
At present, there is no official notice or update from NTA or the Ministry of Education in regards JEE Main 2021 May session or the postponed April session. The registration process for May session (for candidates who had not previously registered) was likely to begin by May 15.
