The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) from this year, which are currently being conducted by the CBSE. NEET is one of the most competitive medical entrance exams. Candidates who qualify the exam are given admission in undergraduate courses of MBBS/BDS. From the year 2016 NEET is the only exam for getting admission in all government and private medical colleges except AIIMS and JIPMER.
* Exam Date: May 2019* Mode of Exam: Offline Mode i.e. pen-paper based. Candidates have to mark their responses in OMR answer sheet.
* Exam Duration: 3 hours
* Total Number of Questions: 180
* Question type: Objective, multiple choice questions (Each question will have four options and the students will have to mark one correct answer).
* Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology
* Subject wise question break-up: 45 questions from Physics, 45 questions from Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology.
* Language: Apart from English, the question paper will be available in Hindi, Gujarati, Oriya, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Kannada.
* NEET Exam 2019 Pattern: The marking scheme - Number of questions - 180 questions
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
* Marking Scheme- The question paper is a total of 720 maximum marks.
- 4 marks for every correct answer
- 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
- For unanswered questions, no marks will be awarded.
