The National Testing Agency has declared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020. The result includes both September 13 and October 14 attempts. The final answer key was released at ntaneet.nic.in by afternoon after which the link had stopped working. Now, the result is available at ntaresults.nic.in, instead.
Odisha’s Soyeb Aftab has topped this year’s NEET by scoring full 720 marks. While Uttar Pradesh’s Akanksha Singh has got rank 2. She has also scored a perfect 720 marks.
This year, over 14.37 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam on September 13 despite the pandemic. The merit list is yet to be out and will be displayed soon. Every college will release its own cut-off based on which the admission will be granted.
Since last year, top medical colleges AIIMS and JIPMER are also accepting students based on the NEET score. Earlier, they used to have their own entrance test. Every medical college has 15 per cent seats reserved under the All India quota (AIQ) which are filled centrally while the rest are filled by the respective state.

NEET result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: To qualify NEET UG 2020, candidates have to score a minimum percentile score in the exam. This minimum score or cut-off score is 50th percentile for general and general – EWS category candidates, 40th percentile for the SC / ST / OBC candidates, and 45th percentile for the PWD candidates. NTA will also prepare the All India Rank list based on NEET 2020 marks. Counseling will take place based on the rank list.
